Problem-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students learn about a subject through the experience of solving an open-ended problem found in trigger material.

POPBL

The Project-Oriented Problem-Based Learning (POPBL) approach is one kind of instructional methodology in teaching pedagogy model that was initially adopted from PBL.

Blended Learning

It is an education program (formal or informal) that combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both lecturer and student, with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace.

A massive open online course (MOOC) is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web.

Special Interest Group

S.I.G is a group of people or an organization seeking or receiving special advantages. The goal is to start conversations with peers about what makes great teaching & learning.

Training

Various activities have been planned to enhance staff awareness and skill on the use of technology in teaching and learning process. All UTHM academic staff are invited to join the program.

Full Online Classroom

Full Online Classroom (FOC) is where lectures and tutorial sessions will be conducted entirely online as lecturers and students do not have to attend any classes during the week of the FOC.

Assessment

Educational assessment is the systematic process of documenting and using empirical data on the knowledge, skill, attitudes, and beliefs to refine programs and improve student learning.

AUTHOR LMS

The system was announced as the UTHM e-learning platform since 2011. It acts as a medium for students and lecturers to share their notes, participating with online activities and also making any announcement.

SMAP Online

A system for students mostly for them to see their academic result, and register courses.

Student Assessment System

A system for academic staff to fill in their students assessment marks.

PA Online

Developed to facilitate information sharing about students' academic achievement with their academic advisor. Informations about the student's academic can only be seen only without be changed by their academic advisor.

UCiTV

UTHM has made up a decision to set up their own platform information-on-demand live telecast via internet which is known as UCiTV. It is developed to increase the quality of teaching and learning.
